Beginner's Guide
Everything new players need to know about Blox Fruits. From your first fruit to your first successful trade.
What is Blox Fruits?
Blox Fruits is one of the most popular games on Roblox, inspired by the anime One Piece. Players explore a vast ocean world, battle enemies, complete quests, and most importantly—collect powerful Devil Fruits that grant superhuman abilities.
The game features three main activities: grinding (defeating enemies to level up), PvP (fighting other players), and trading (exchanging fruits and items with other players). Most players participate in all three to varying degrees.
As you level up, you unlock new islands with stronger enemies and better rewards. The level cap is currently 2550, but even mid-level players can enjoy most content. The real endgame for many players is collecting valuable fruits and trading.
Understanding Devil Fruits
Devil Fruits are the core mechanic of Blox Fruits. Each fruit grants unique abilities—some let you control fire, others transform you into animals, and some give you reality-bending powers.
Important Rules About Fruits
- •You can only have one fruit power at a time. Eating a new fruit replaces your current one permanently.
- •Regular fruits are lost when you die (unless you have a permanent version).
- •Permanent fruits stay forever and cost Robux or trade for very high value.
- •You can store fruits in your inventory to trade them later (up to 3 slots, expandable with gamepasses).
This "one fruit at a time" rule is why trading exists—players want to try different fruits but can't keep them all. Trading lets you exchange fruits you're done with for new ones you want to try.
Fruit Types Explained
Devil Fruits are categorized into three main types, each with distinct characteristics that affect gameplay and trading value.
Logia Type
Logia fruits transform your body into an element (fire, light, ice, etc.). The key advantage: physical attacks pass through you until enemies use Haki. This makes Logia fruits incredible for grinding since most NPCs can't damage you.
Examples: Light, Magma, Flame, Ice, Sand, Smoke, Dark, Blizzard
Beast Type
Beast fruits transform you into powerful creatures—dragons, phoenixes, leopards, etc. While they lack Logia immunity, their transformations offer massive combat power and often include flight abilities.
Examples: Dragon, Buddha, Phoenix, Leopard, Mammoth, T-Rex, Kitsune
Natural Type (Paramecia)
Natural fruits grant superhuman abilities without elemental immunity or full transformation. They offer the most diverse powers—gravity control, space manipulation, quake generation, and more.
Examples: Quake, Gravity, Control, Venom, Portal, Rubber, Diamond
Pro Tip: For grinding (leveling up), Logia fruits are king because of their immunity. For PvP, Beast and Natural fruits often dominate. Buddha is considered the best grinding fruit overall due to its massive reach increase.
How to Get Fruits
Blox Fruit Dealer
The main NPC for buying fruits. Stock rotates every few hours with random fruits. You can buy with Beli (in-game currency) or Robux. Check frequently for the fruit you want.
Natural Spawns
Fruits randomly spawn across all islands every 1-4 hours and despawn after 20 minutes. Finding natural spawns is rare but exciting. The Fruit Notifier gamepass helps locate them.
Cousin (Random Fruit)
An NPC that gives random fruits for Beli. It's a gamble—you might get something amazing or something worthless. Many players try their luck here.
Trading
The most reliable way to get specific fruits. Trade fruits you don't want for ones you do. This is why understanding values is so important.
As a new player, focus on using whatever fruit you can get. Don't stress about having the "best" fruit immediately—even common fruits can carry you through early game content.
Leveling Guide
Leveling up is essential in Blox Fruits. Higher levels unlock new islands, stronger enemies, and better quest rewards. Here's how to level efficiently:
Always Do Quests
Talk to the quest giver on each island and accept kill quests. Quest XP is far better than random enemy kills. Move to new islands when enemies become too easy.
Use a Logia or Buddha
Logia immunity or Buddha's extended reach makes grinding 10x easier. If you can trade for Buddha early, do it—it's the best grinding fruit.
Match Island Level
Fight enemies within 10-20 levels of your current level. Too low = bad XP. Too high = you die repeatedly. Find the sweet spot.
Upgrade Stats Wisely
For grinding, focus on Melee and Defense early. Fruit users should add Blox Fruit stat points. Sword users put points in Sword. Don't spread too thin.
Fighting Styles
Fighting styles are melee combat systems that work alongside your fruit. They're especially important for Buddha users since the transformation extends fighting style range.
Combat (Starter)
Everyone starts with this. Basic but functional. Upgrade to something better as soon as possible.
Dark Step
Available in First Sea. Good mobility and kicks. Solid early-game choice for beginners.
Electric Claw
Available in Third Sea. Excellent for grinding with Buddha. One of the best late-game styles.
Superhuman
Requires mastering multiple styles. High damage and good combos. Great for both grinding and PvP.
You can switch fighting styles anytime by visiting the appropriate trainer NPC. Experiment to find what suits your playstyle.

Target Utility Fruits
Buddha is always in demand. If you can eventually trade for Buddha, you'll have an easy-to-trade asset and a great grinding fruit.
